William J. “Bill” Behm, age 80, of Autumnwood Drive, Tiffin, died at 1:47 pm Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born October 7, 1929, in Tiffin, to the late William H. and Clara I. (McConnell) Behm. He married Eugenia M. Reinhart April 18, 1953, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. She preceded him in death July 14, 1998.

Survivors include three sons, Ned (Karen) Behm of Tiffin, David (Jackie) Behm of Crystal Lake, Illinois, and Barry E. Behm of Toledo; two daughters, Kathleen (Dan) Wagner of New Riegel and Jane (Caleb) Arrington of Spartanburg, SC; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Harwood, Eric, Brad, & Chris Wagner, Nicole & Alex Behm, Colin & Cody Behm, and William & Jessica Arrington; two great grandchildren, Brianna & Alexis Wagner; and a sister, Mary Parker of McCutchenville.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Behm, and a sister, Evelyn “Molly” Walter.

Mr. Behm was a 1947 graduate of Calvert High School and served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired self-employed building contractor with Behm Construction. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Elks.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 South Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 419-447-3113. A Wake Service will be 1:45 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Prayers will be said at 12:30 pm Monday, January 18, at the funeral home with the funeral Mass at 1 pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with military rites conducted by the United Veterans Council of Seneca County. The Rosary will be recited in church twenty minutes prior to Mass.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care, or to F.A.C.T., in care of the funeral home.
