Wayne Steven Amlin, age 73, of Timbercreek Drive, Tiffin, Ohio died at 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at Elmwood of Green Springs. He was born on February 19, 1933 in Bascom, Ohio to the late Ligouri and Esther (Hohman) Amlin.
He married Mary Elizabeth Huffmon who he divorced, and she preceded him in death. Later he married Holly Bogner and they divorced but remained close friends.
Surviving are three sons, Craig Amlin of Washington D.C.; Doug (Diane) Amlin of Spring City, Pennsylvania; Gary (Stephanie) Amlin of Tiffin; three daughters, Lottie (Kevin) Lofton, Rose Ann Amlin both of Tiffin; and Jennifer (Brent) Hedrick of Bascom; 10 grandchildren,
Christy Lofton, Kevin Lofton, II; Natalie (Jeff) Rhoades; Brandon Amlin; Mark and Rachel Amlin; Garrett and Dominic Hedrick; Jacob and Julia Amlin; 2 great grandchildren, Brandon and Kaiden Rhoades; 5 brothers, Gene (Ann) Amlin of Muncie, Indiana; Jim Amlin of Tiffin; George (Patsy) Amlin of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania; Bob (Anna Marie) Amlin of Fostoria; and John Amlin of Sycamore, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Seifert.
Mr. Amlin was a Calvert High School graduate and a graduate of Heidelberg College. He served as a member of the United States Navy. He retired as a partner in Tem-Con, Inc., Tiffin. He had been a member of the Elks Lodge. Wayne enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling.
The Funeral Service will be officiated by Rev. David M. Ross at 11:00 am Monday, January 29, 2007 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Military rites will be performed following the funeral service at the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to a charity of the donors choice in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
The Celebration of Life Tribute will be avaialable for viewing on Sunday.
