Wayne was born June 18, 1927 to the late Vernon Sr. and Adah (Adams) Gibson in Tiffin. He married Joan Catherine Fox on April 15, 1953 and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2004.
He is survived by his daughter’s family, Diane and Tim Below of Tiffin, and their son, Ethan; two brothers, Vernon Gibson, Jr. of Tiffin and Richard Gibson.
Wayne was preceded in death by an infant brother, and four sisters, Vivian Perry, Virginia Davis, Corrine Raudabaugh and Ilo Broughton.
Wayne served in the United States Army towards the end of WWII. He worked as a mill operator and retired from the BASIC, Inc, in Maple Grove. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was an avid hunter.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec 19, 2011 at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Cal Cook will officiate with burial immediately following at Greenlawn Cemetery.
