Vonetta Corrine Kelbley, 93, of Fostoria, died 8:09 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. She was born October 30, 1923, in Liberty Township, to William J. and Elizabeth C. (Hartman) Brickner. She married Robert Henry Kelbley June 5, 1943, in St. Andrew Catholic Church, Liberty Township and he died May 7, 2010.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette (John) Lynch of Tiffin; two sons, Robert Kelbley, Jr. of Toledo and Laurence (Catherine) Kelbley of Fostoria; eight grandchildren, Brett Lynch, Lori (Lynch) Koebel, Michael Lynch, Nikki (Kelbley) Cramer, Jennifer Kelbley, Robert Kelbley, Christopher Kelbley, and Lauren (Kelbley) Logan; six great-grandchildren, two great-great -grandchildren; three sisters, Pauline Burns of Tiffin, Bernice Droll of Fostoria, and Virginia Kahman of LaPeer, Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Edmund Brickner, and a granddaughter, Abby (Kelbley) McMillan.
Vonetta was a former assembler at Gem Manufacturing Company in Bascom. She was a member of Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church, Bascom, the Daughters of Isabella, Rosary Altar Society, various card clubs and she enjoyed euchre and spending time with her grandchildren.
Family and friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 4:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2017, followed by the funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church, Bascom. Rev. Timothy Kummerer will officiate. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Bascom.
