Vita M. Perna of 261 Miami Street, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2003 in the Mercy Hospital Emergency Room, Tiffin. She was born to Joseph and Pauline (Conaggni) Fortunato on December 27, 1911 in Walbridge, Ohio. She married Leonard Perna on November 26, 1928 in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin. He died on July 6, 1977.
Other survivors include, 5 sons, John (Josephine) Perna; Joseph Perna; Leonard (Paula) Perna and Frank (Malinda) Perna all of Tiffin; and Michael (Shirley) Perna of Cadillac, MI; 7 daughters, Margie Hodges, Lucy (Barry) Wade, Jean (Larry) Adelsperger, Mary (Robert) Reid and Dolores ( Michael) Herbert all of Tiffin and Nattie Kistler of Gerogetown, OH; and Connie (Thomas) Corrado of Bellevue; 52 Grandchildren, 57 Great Grandchildren, 1 brother, Louis ( Laura) Fortunato, Bellevue; 1 sister, Antonetta (Kenneth) Folk of Tiffin. She is preceded by 1 daughter, Carmella Fabrizio, 1 sister, Angela Blaser, 1 brother, Daniel Fortunato, and 1 grandson, Adam Perna.
Mrs. Perna had been a homemaker all her life. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Burial will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
