Virginia A. Hoffman, 93, of Tiffin, died at 10:40 am Monday, February 12, 2018, at Friedman Village Assisted Living.
She was born June 12, 1924, in Tiffin, to Wade and Pearl (Dillard) Smith. She married Earl E. Hoffman June 27, 1942 in St. John’s United Church of Christ. Earl died March 12, 2002.
Survivors include two sons, Perry (Patricia) Hoffman of Findlay, and Gary (Connie) Hoffman of Peotone, Ill.; three daughters, Connie (Dan) Everhart, Kathy (Victor) Chartier, and Ann (Dan) Laux, all of Tiffin; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Jason, Joei, Scott, Robyn, Ashlie, Jacob, Evan; six great grandchildren, Jordyn, Jessie, Teigan, Ruby, Bexley, and Arlo.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, two sisters, Arlene Kummerer and Ruth Smith, and four brothers, Owen, Donald, Warren, and Robert Smith.
Mrs. Hoffman was a 1942 graduate of Columbian High School and had worked at Whirlpool Corp., Clyde, General Electric Co., and Ballreich’s Potato Chips. She was also a homemaker and during retirement volunteered at the Betty Jane Center and MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers).
There will be no visitation, and private entombment will take place in Seneca Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
