Verna Mae Huber, 86, of Fort Seneca, died at 8:55 pm Monday, March 30, 2015, at her residence.

Verna was born June 9, 1928 in Fort Seneca to Harry E. and Kathryn (Lavo) Hade. On June 21, 1947 she married Charles Huber in Fort Seneca and he died August 23, 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Greg (Pat) Huber of Old Fort, Harry Huber of Fort Seneca;  seven grandchildren, Brett Trembath, Jeff Huber, Derek Huber, Devan Huber, Brandon Trembath, Steven Huber, Mathew Huber; seven great-grandchildren, Alanee Huber, Brock Huber, Chase Huber, Alivia Huber, Austin Trembath, Owen Huber, Noah Huber, a sister, Sandra Best of Fremont, special friends Pastor Michael and Cindra Sassanella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles; a daughter, Linda Trembath; and a son-in-law, David Trembath and her loving pet, D.J.

Verna graduated from Old Fort High School in 1946 and retired from Rite Aid in Tiffin.  She was a member of Fort Seneca Community United Church of Christ, and the Old Fort Flames. She was known for her expertise in cake creation, celebrating special events for her families and friends. Her kitchen was always open to the community.

Visitation will be 9:00 AM Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Fort Seneca Community United Church of Christ until the time of the funeral at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Michael Sassanella officiating.  Burial will follow at the Pleasant Union Cemetery, Old Fort.

Memorials may be made to the Fort Seneca Community United Church of Christ or to the family in care of the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113.
