Timothy Jay Davis, 75, of Tiffin, died at 5:08 p.m. October 25, 2021, at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital. He was born June 3, 1946, in Morgantown, West Virginia to Joseph and Fern D. (Weese) Davis, Jr. He married Jane Kinn June 10, 1967, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin and she survives.
Other survivors include a son, Sterling (Lindsay) Davis of Noblesville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Colt and Vince Davis; and two brothers, Mark (Sue) Davis of Harker Heights, Texas, and Jody (Adela) Davis of Fairfield, Illinois.
Tim was a 1964 Columbian High School graduate and attended Heidelberg College. He served in the United States Navy for over 20 years. While in the Navy he served in Naval Intelligence and worked for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon. He also worked as a flag writer for Admiral James Service. After military service, he returned to live in Tiffin. He was the Circulation Director at the Advertiser-Tribune and he owned Video Memories Productions. He was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, and was a V.F.W. Past Commander.
Visitation for family and friends will be 9-10 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel. The Mass will follow at 10 a.m. officiated by Rev. Timothy Kummerer. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. The Seneca County United Veteran’s Council will perform military rites at the grave site.
Memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Parish or to the Seneca County United Veteran’s Council.
