Timothy A. Bender, age 59 of Tiffin, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at his residence.
Tim was born in Tiffin, February 19, 1952 to the late George and Helen (Boehler) Bender.
He is survived by his former wife, Nora Bender of Maumee; one son, Bradley Bender of Gibsonburg; three daughters, Stephanie (William) Hoefflin of Walbridge, Shelly (Bill) Moyer of Fostoria, and Stacy Bender of Maumee; six grandchildren, Gavin, TJ, Jonathan, Dre’a, Mason, and Riley; one brother, Thomas (Barb) Bender of New Riegel; and one sister, Judy (Jim) Ritzler of North Carolina.
Tim was a 1970 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Tiffin. He had worked as a security guard in Findlay.
Family and friends may call Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 10 to 11:30 am at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory at 214 South Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113.
The funeral Mass will be at 12 noon, Saturday, February 4, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Roemmele officiating. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at a later date.
