Thelma Wagner, age 79 years old, of New Riegel, Ohio died early Saturday morning, June 2, 2001 at her residence. She was born to Peter and Minnie (Williams) Welter. She married Ray Wagner on February 8, 1947 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, Ohio. He survives at their residence. Other survivors include 4 sons, David Wagner of Tiffin, Ohio; Dennis Wagner of Lancaster, Ohio; Peter Wagner of New Riegel, Ohio; and Dan Wagner of New Riegel, Ohio; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is preceded by 3 sisters, Lucille Welter, Ruth Spitler, and Helen Sager, and 1 brother, Karl Welter.
Mrs. Wagner was a 1940 graduate of Columbian High School, Tiffin, Ohio. She was a Homemaker, a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, Ohio.
The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Funeral Mass. Burial will take place in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to American Heart Association, or to American Lung Association.
