Terry D. Snyder, 71, of Tiffin, died Sunday morning, October 4, 2020, at his residence. He was born March 10, 1949, in Lima, Ohio, to William O. and Jean (Etzkorn) Snyder and his mother survives in Tiffin. He married Jane M. Buchman, April 30, 1976, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bascom. She died July 25, 1982. He then married Catherine L. Willman in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin on February 28, 1987, and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Jeffrey (Lisa) Snyder of Sycamore and Keith (Lindsay) Snyder of Westminster, Colorado; a daughter, Kara (John) Stansbery of Tiffin and seven grandchildren, Austin Eaton, Mercedes Snyder, Cody Eaton, Landen Snyder, Johnny Stansbery, Tori Stansbery, and Logan Snyder; three brothers, Jerry (Mary) Snyder of Tiffin, John (Denise) Snyder of Carey, and Jim (Lauren) Snyder of Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania; and two sisters, Nancy (Don) Burner of Tiffin, and Peggy Robinette of Findlay.
Preceding him in death was his father, William, who died, August 8, 1988; a son, Gregory, who died July 24, 1982; two brothers, Don and Bob Snyder; and a brother-in-law, Chuck Robinette.
Mr. Snyder was a 1967 graduate of New Riegel High School and served in the United States Navy from 1967-1969. He had worked for over 30 years at National Machinery Company and retired in 2009 and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.
He was a member of the New Riegel American Legion Post 354. He also was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and had volunteered for many years working Bingo.
Visitation will be 9 -10 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed by the
funeral Mass at 10 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Szybkza officiating. The rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Frenchtown, Ohio. The New Riegel American Legion will perform military rites at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, or to Calvert Catholic Schools.
