He was born February 17, 1937, in Mercedes, Texas to the late Guadalupe and Hilaria (Vasquez) Alvarado. He married Dominga (Veliz) Alvarado on September 8, 1962 in Tiffin. They later divorced.
Survivors include his two sons, Michael (Tammy) Alvarado, David (Jeanine) Alvarado of Tiffin; three daughters, Rosa (Ken) Stewart of Victoria, British Columbia, Belinda (Eddie) Buchanan of Norwalk, Berta Alvarado (Jeff Poland) of Tiffin; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a brother, Gilbert (Paulina) Alvarado of Fulshear, Texas and longtime companion, Adoracion “Edaray” Ruiz of Lansing, Mich., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by; one brother, Guadalupe Alvarado; three sisters, Susanna Izquierdo, Rufina Reyna and Adela Soto; and a granddaughter, Maria Alvarado.
Teodoro was a retired truck driver who enjoyed life, socializing with friends and fishing. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

The Rev. Frank Murd and Deacon John Walter will officiate the 12:30 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2011 Mass at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Liberty Township. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery.
