Miss Suzanne C. Houck, age 79, of Tiffin, Ohio, died January 21, 2004, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin. She was born January 15, 1925, in Columbus, Ohio, to Walter and Elizabeth (Pirrung) Houck. She was a 1943 graduate of Calvert High School, received her Bachelor’s Degree from Mary Manse College, and received her Master’s Degree from Bowling Green State University. She retired after 30 years as an elementary school teacher, having taught at Lincoln and Bloomville Schools in the Tiffin City Schools. Suzy was a very loving and giving person and will always be remembered for that. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, the Retired Teachers Association, the Legion of Mary, and the Serra Club.
Survivors include a brother, John Houck of Columbus, Ohio, one sister-in-law, Patricia Houck of Columbus, Ohio, one niece, three nephews, a close cousin, Anne (Carpenter) Repede, who visited frequently from Arlington Heights, Illinois, and a close friend, Kathryn Kuebler of Tiffin. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Walter Houck, Jr.
Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Attica, Ohio. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Church, St. Francis Home, or Sts. Peter & Paul Church.
