Steven C. Heil

Steven Craig Heil, 66, of Tiffin, died at 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at his residence.
Steve was born August 28, 1952, in Tiffin to Nicholas and

Levone (Schwab) Heil.  He married Mary A. Smith August 4, 1979, in Republic, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church and she survives in Tiffin.

Other survivors include a son, Jacob Heil, of Tiffin; a daughter, Jennifer (Chris Pfaff) Heil of Tiffin; two grand-daughters, Kassidy and Julia Heil; a brother, Todd (Heather) Heil of Forest and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Becky Stetzy.

Steve was a 1970 Columbian High School graduate.  He had worked at ExCel Wire and Cable, and he retired from Clyde Tool and Die.  He was a member of the Eagles, a life member of the N.R.A. He loved his family, pets and the outdoors, and Steve was an avid 2nd Amendment supporter.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2019, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419)-447-3113. A second visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  Burial will take place in Pleasant View Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Melmore.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, American Diabetes Assn. or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
