Sister Camillus Schock, 90, of the Sisters of St. Francis in Tiffin, died Friday, April 30, 2005 at St. Francis Home.
She was born February 12, 1915, in Windsor, Ontario Canada to Emma (Johnson) and William Schock.
Surviving are her sisters Rita Ranieri and Joan Obringer of Tiffin, and two brothers, William of Tiffin and Andy of Attica.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Veronica and Evelyn Schock, and Lena Daniel; and brothers, Clarence, Daniel, and Benjamin.
Her ministries include: sacristan, dietary work, housekeeper, and office work at the motherhouse; housekeeper in Landeck, Fort Jennings, Toledo, Oak Harbor; house mother, dietary work, and receptionist at St. Anthony Villa, Toledo; and pastoral work at St. Michael's Ridge and Swanton. At the time of her death she was a minister of prayer for the congregation.
Sister Camillus enlivened everyone with her joyful spirit and her good humor. She especially enjoyed being with children, telling jokes, and beautifying her surroundings with flowers.
The Funeral Mass will be Tuesday May 3, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Tiffin. Burial will be in St. Francis Convent Cemetary. Rev. Ron Schock, nephew of Sister Camillus, will celebrate the Mass.
Visitation will be Monday May 2, at 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the St. Francis Convent Chapel. A Christian Wake Service will be at 7:30 PM at the St. Francis Convent Chapel, 200 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, Ohio 44883.
