Ruth F. Eckert, age 85, of rural Tiffin, died at 9:20 pm, Sunday, October 22, 2006, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born September 11, 1921, in Carey, Ohio, to the late Nicholas and Mary (Kirian) Lucius. On June 11, 1941, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Robert L. Eckert, and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Judy Carrick of Zionsville, Indiana, and Elaine Elchert of Findlay; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Lucius of West Covina, Calif., and Earl Lucius of Tiffin; two sisters, Albert Fisher of Tiffin and Rose Knowlton of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Jordan.
Mrs. Eckert retired from General Electric Co., Tiffin, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at St. Mary Catholic Church, with burial following in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Rosary will be recited at the church 15 minutes prior to the Mass.
