Survivors include, two sons, Kenneth P. (Faye) Maag, of Fremont, Donald R. (Lina) Maag of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Marilyn (Robert) Klaus, Delores Maag, and Judy (James) Schank, all three of Tiffin; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Kruse of Kalida.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil, a sister Helen M. Verhoff and a brother, Alfred Meyer.
Ruth retired from Ex-Cell-D Wire as a custodian. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Society, the Kiwanis Senior Citizens and she had been a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Republic, Ohio.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 pm, Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 South Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, 419-447-3113. A wake service will be at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 am, Monday, July 2 at the funeral home, followed by the funeral Mass at 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Roemmele officiating. The rosary will be said 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in Fairwell-Retreat Cemetery, Republic.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
