Ruth E. (Duffey) Hurt

Ruth Eilene Hurt, 72, of Tiffin, died at 8:45 pm Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

Ruth was born April 4, 1943 in Tiffin to Harry and Alice (Runion) Duffey, Sr. July 18, 1959 she married James A. Hurt, Sr. and he preceded her in death May 13, 2004.

Survivors include two sons, James A. Hurt, Jr., Charles E. (Candee) Hurt both of Tiffin; a daughter, Dora (Gary) Hossler of Tiffin; nine grandchildren, Emily, Issac, Jett, Jace, Katie, Corey, Brett, Shane and Abby; two great grandchildren, Kaliegh, Braxtyn; two brothers, Robert (Regina) Runion of Tiffin, Dale (Juanita) Duffey of Ada; three sisters, Joyce Moyer, Martha Smith both of Tiffin, Ann Freeze of Green Springs.

In addition to her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Virgil Duffey, Glen Duffey, Harry Duffey, Jr., and Richard Runion; and a sister, Francis Feasel.

Ruth worked at Tiffin Enterprise; retired from Owens Corning as a supervisor. She was a member of the Moose, enjoyed arts and crafts, BINGO, did a little bit of gambling and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113. And again at 10 AM Friday, September 4, 2015 until the funeral service at 11 AM.

Funeral will be 11 AM, Friday, September 4, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Clarence Mullins officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery
