Rosemary Wagner, 86, formerly of North Kingsville, Ohio, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Willoughby, Ohio.
Rosemary was born October 9, 1925 in Tiffin, OH, an only child of the late Bernard and Rose (Daniel) Lenhart. She graduated from Calvert High School in 1943 and from Heidelberg College, Tiffin, OH in 1947. Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband, John C. Wagner, whom she married July 6, 1949.
She devoted her entire life to her family and teaching mathematics at various central Ohio schools, retiring from Conneaut High School in 1991.
In her retirement years Rosemary was a dedicated and caring volunteer at The Kingsville Public Library; she was also a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mentor, OH.
She is survived by five sons and a daughter. They are: John W. (Billie) Wagner of Marion, OH; Daniel E. (Judy) Wagner of Weston, FL; James M. Wagner of Elkhart, IN; Chris A. (Melissa) Wagner of Chagrin Falls, OH; Ann M (Brian) Stevens of Willoughby, OH; and Curt J. (Virginia) Wagner of Toledo, OH; eight grandchildren: Joshua Wagner, Jessie Rowe, Eric Wagner, Jennifer Neal, Christian and Ellie Wagner, Lauren and Matthew Wagner and two great grandchildren Michael and Lilly Neal.
Surviving Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law include: Richard and Lois Wagner of Tiffin, OH; Dewey and Eileen DeTray of McCutchenville, OH; Charles and Catherine Culichia of Ocala, FL and Norma Wagner of Tiffin, OH. Preceding Rosemary in death were also William Wagner and Mary Wagner.
Visitation will be Friday, March 16, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with a Wake Service at 4:45 pm, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St, Tiffin, OH 44883 (419) 447-3113. A funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Saturday March 17, 2012 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, OH, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Tiffin.
