Rose Marie Stritt, age 90, of Cherry Ave., Tiffin, died at 2 pm Sunday, July 20, 2008, at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
She was born August 29, 1917, in Tiffin, to the late Harold and Marie (Kraft) Fraley, Sr. On June 21, 1941, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, she married John A. Stritt, and he survives.
Also surviving are a son, John J. “Joe” Stritt of Grand Prairie, Texas; and a grandson, Daniel Stritt of Norman, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Fraley, Jr.
Mrs. Stritt was a 1936 graduate of Columbian High School and retired from sales at Uhlman’s Department Store. She later volunteered at the St. Francis Home Gift Shop. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society. She was also the first president of the St. Francis Auxiliary.
Funeral Mass will be 11:30 am Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at St. Francis Home Chapel, 182 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the Mass on Wednesday at the Chapel.
