Roger A. Zimmerman of Stinchcomb Drive, Fostoria died at 12:40 PM, Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at the Ruffing Family Care Center in Tiffin, Ohio. He was born October 7, 1940, in Fremont, Ohio to Clyde and Lois ( Coppler) Zimmerman. His mother, Lois Smyers, survives in Tiffin. On June 16, 1960 in Bettsville, Ohio, he married Doris Curry and she survives. Also surviving are three children; Brian (Sherry) Zimmerman of Republic, Randy Zimmerman of Fostoria, and Deborah Zimmerman of Tiffin. He is survived by 3 grandchildren, Dustin Waters, Marissa Zimmerman, and Nicole Zimmerman; 1 step grandchild, Amber McDannell; 2 brothers, Lee Zimmerman of Tiffin, Gary Zimmerman of Fostoria and a sister, Mrs. Stanley (Judy) Fritz of Bascom.
Mr. Zimmerman had retired as a truck driver for 32 years. He was a member of the United Brethren in Bettsville, Fostoria Eagles Post 430, American Legion of Fostoria Post 460, and former member of the Moose.
Rev Tom Goossens, Chaplain will conduct the funeral service at Seneca Memory Gardens Chapel on Friday, October 15 at 10:00 AM. There will be no visitation.
