Robert L. Throneberry, 77, of Tiffin, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 6:41pm at Tiffin Mercy Hospital Emergency Room.
He was born on May 27, 1930 to the late Robert A. Throneberry and Maudie I. (Hall) Throneberry in Nashville, Tennessee. On January 22, 1949, he married Bonnie J. Shetterly in Kentucky and she survives.
Mr. Throneberry is survived by three sons, Michael J. Throneberry of Victorville, CA, Michael W. Warren of Huntington, WV, and Jeffrey L. (Bonnie) Warren of Tiffin; two daughters, Debra A. (Gregory) Lusitana of Coronado, CA, and Vicki S. Haughn of Tiffin; 12 grandchildren, Kara, Jennifer, Tanya, Patience, Crystal, Christopher, Amber, Bobby, Cody, Jessica, Joseph, and Natalie; 12 great-grandchildren; one step-brother, Howard Banks; two sisters, Louise (William) Lynch of Covington, KY, and Betty I. (John) Heyman of Tiffin; two step-sisters, Anna Marie Smith of Mesa, AZ, and Dorene Saum of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a step-brother, Clifford Banks; and one niece, Pam Addis.
Mr. Throneberry was a retired carpenter and served in the US Marine Corps from 1951 to 1959. He was a member of Local 1497 union in Montebello, California. Mr. Throneberry was an avid hunter, fisher, and gardener.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, May 9, 2008 from 1 to 4pm at Traunero Funeral Home 214 S. Monroe Street Tiffin, Ohio 44883 419-447-3113.
The funeral service will be at 4pm on Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Cathy Wirth officiating. The United Veterans Council of Seneca County will perform military services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care or to the charity of the donor’s choice in care of the Traunero Funeral Home.
