Robert L. Heyman, 83, of Birchwood Drive, Tiffin, Ohio died at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at his residence. He was born on April 14, 1923 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Herschel and Mary (Hermiller) Heyman. On April 19, 1947 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, he married Joan C. Bookmyer. She died on June 18, 2004.

Mr. Heyman is survived by a son, James Heyman of Tiffin, three daughters,
Deborah Heyman of Tiffin; Barbara (Don) Kin of Tiffin; and Beverly Hoffman of Knoxville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Bill) Jones; Renee, Lindsey, and Nathan Kin; Jennifer (Matt) Boucher; Brenda and Karla Heyman; 3 great grandchildren Allen, Brandon and Owen Boucher; and a brother Eugene C. Heyman of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Shirley Bernard.

Robert attended Calvert High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a WWII Army veteran, serving as a medic. He was a salesman for Heyman Electric and Furniture Company. He then retired from Columbian High School Maintenance. He was a member of the V.F.W., Tiffin Moose, and Tiffin Eagles.

There will be no visitation. The Funeral Mass will be officiated by Rev. James K. Say at 11:00 am Saturday, July 22, 2006 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. The United Veterans Council of Seneca County will perform military rites at the graveside.
