Robert L. Bosler, 97, of N. TR 135, Tiffin, died at 8:42 pm Saturday, April 24, 2004, at Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.
He was born March 22, 1907, in Liberty Township, to the late Frank O. and Mary E. (Grimes) Bosler. On May 9, 1930, in Covington, Kentucky, he married Luella Curts. She died April 14, 1970.
Surviving are a son, Ronald L. (Phyllis) Bosler of Tiffin; two grandsons, Brian (Lisa) Bosler and Brett (Tammy) Bosler, both of Tiffin; three great grandsons, Eddie, Layne, and Johnathan Bosler, all of Tiffin; and a step great grandson, Christopher Krupp of Tiffin. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lulu Sager, and an infant son and infant daughter.
Mr. Bosler was a farmer all his life and had worked at Webster Manufacturing in his younger years. He was a member of First Christian Church, Tiffin. He was a great woodworker, loved gardening and fishing, and spent much time with his grandsons.
Services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Rev. Alonzo Wise will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Ridge Cemetery, Bascom. Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Community Hospice Care, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
