Robert “Bob” Sheldon Hunt, age 73, of Oakbridge Place, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 10:40 PM, Thursday, November 27, 2008 at his residence.
Bob was born March 2, 1935 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Arnold Adolph and Anna Margaret (Stagger) Hunt. On August 17, 1957 he married Elaine Miller in St. Wendelin Catholic Church and she survives.
Other survivors include; three daughters, Veronica Hunt of Tiffin, Cindy Dunne of Dublin, Ohio and Sarah (Patrick) Hanna of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Thomas and Sonia Dunne, and Jeremy and Gabbi Hanna.
Preceding him in death is a brother, Fred Hunt.
Bob graduated in 1953 from St. Wendelin High School and then from The University of Toledo with a BS in Pharmacy while on a four year full football scholarship. He was in the Army Reserves. Bob joined John Grieselding as a partner of San-Mar Pharmacy. Together, they started Home Health Care Products, Institutional Care Pharmacy (ICP), and Jeffrey Jewelry. They previously owned and operated Riverfront Manor of Tiffin and Bloomville Nursing Care Center. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Bob and his wife, Elaine led the effort in the Kalnow-Frost Stadium restoration for the Tiffin community.
He was an avid golfer and athlete. Bob enjoyed spending his time with family and friends and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and held his granddaughters close to his heart and enjoyed spending days on the golf course with his grandsons.
The Funeral Mass will be officiated by the Rev. Joseph Szybka and Rev. James Say at 10:00 am Monday, December 1, 2008 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, Ohio. The rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass. There will be a private entombment at the Seneca Memory Gardens.
Family and friends may call from 2-8 pm Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 South Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113. A Wake Service will be at 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to the Calvert Catholic Schools, Community Hospice Care and to F.A.C.T. in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
