Robert “Bo” Reid, age 66, of Tiffin, Ohio, died February 2, 2004, at his residence. He was born October 24, 1937, in Lancaster, Ohio, to the late John and Bertha (Wilson) Reid. He married Mary Perna, on August 20, 1960, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin. She survives.
Also surviving are a son, Bo Robert (Nanette) Reid, six brothers, John, Jr., William, Ray, Larry, George, and Tom Reid; seven sisters, Betty Arent, Helen Conrad, Mary Cunningham, Louise Shaw, Lucille Joos, Jeanette Morris, and Linda Young.
Mr. Reid was a Lancaster, Ohio, High School graduate and attended Heidelberg College in Tiffin. He retired after 38 years as an auto salesman at Tiffin Ford Lincoln Mercury. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, the Knights of Columbus, and an inductee in the Heidelberg College Hall of Fame in 2000. He was a member of the Tiffin City Park Board, and, after years of service, he had a ballpark at Highland Park named after him.
Rev. Timothy Ferris will celebrate the Funeral Mass, with burial following in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Tiffin, the Robert “Bo” Reid Athletic Memorial Fund, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
