Robert M. Kern, age 87,of 54 S. Washington Street, and formerly of Clay Street, Tiffin, Ohio died on Thursday, December 13, 2001 at Mercy Hospital Emergency Room, Tiffin.
He was born January 5, 1914 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Melvin "Ted" and Ethel (Wagstaff) Kern. On October 16, 1939 at St. Mary's, Tiffin, he married Juliana M. Harlett, who survives.
Other survivors inclued: 3 sons Richard Kern, Michael Kern, and John Kern, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Mr. Kern was a 1932 Columbian High School graduate. He was a retail bread vendor for 27 years and he retired after 17 years from General Electric Co. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, and was an avid golfer who enjoyed many rounds at Seneca Hills and Nature Trails.
Burial will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
