Richard W. Seislove, age 89, of N. SR 101, Tiffin, Ohio died at 12:59 pm, Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio.
He was born September 11, 1920 in Tiffin to the late Louis and Clara (Fey) Seislove. He married Evelyn R. Wooley December 27, 1941 in Deshler, Ohio and she died September 3, 2000.
Survivors include two daughters, Jan (Irv) Holdgreve of Whitehall, Mich., Jean (Michael) Johns, of Traverse City, Mich.; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three stepgreat-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenneth Seislove of Tiffin.
He is preceded in death by four brothers, Ralph, Donald, Wayne and Howard Seislove; two sisters, Dorothy Black and Helen Payment.
Richard was a Calvert High School graduate and he served in the United States Army during WWII. He had retired as a tool and die maker from General Electric.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2010 at St. Francis Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Murd officiating. There will be no visitation. The Seneca County United Veterans Council will perform military rites at St. Francis immediately prior to the Mass.
