Richard L. Fletcher, 68, of Tiffin, died Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
He was born on Halloween, 1945, in Orrville, Ohio, to LaVern and Ruth (Etling) Fletcher. He married Deborah Daugherty May 16, 1970, in Canton, Ohio, and she survives in Tiffin.
Also surviving are a son, Martin (Sara) Fletcher of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Amy Fletcher of New York City, and Carrie (Jason) Fletcher-Clock of Dayton; and five grandchildren, Jake, Lizzi, Maeve, Ruby, and Nelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Fletcher.
Richard was a graduate of Orrville High School and a 1969 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He served in the US Army from 1969 until 1971, and then practiced dentistry in Tiffin for 42 years. He was a member of Old Trinity Episcopal Church, an active member of the community, and an avid sportsman. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a good friend to many.
Services will be 11:00am Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Old Trinity Episcopal Church, with Lay Leader Larry Schmidbauer officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:00am until time of services.
