Regina B. Ray, 82, of Tiffin, died at 8:20 p.m. on September 17, 2000 at St. Francis Nursing Home. She was born to Patrick and Honora (Buckley) King in Wheeling, West Virginia on February 19, 1918. On February 22, 1943 she married Charles M. Ray in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include, 4 daughters, Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Kuhn, Mrs. Frank (Patti) Redman, Mrs. Donald (Cathe) Hammer, and Mrs. Theodore (Terri) Temper; 1 sister, Mrs. Thomas (Josephine) Connors; 8 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded by 1 brother, Frank King and 8 sisters, Catherine Dumar, Ann Anderson, Agnes Sullivan, Genevieve Garrison, Mary Munhall, Margaret King, Helen Gallagher, and Norma Smith.
She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Pittsburgh, PA and attended Duquesne University. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rosary Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, and Ladies Catholic Bowling League. She retired as Recreation Leader for the City of Pittsburgh, PA and had also worked in the Tiffin Columbian High School Cafeteria.
The Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m., before the funeral Mass, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, along with Chaplette of Divine Mercy. There will be a second funeral Mass on Saturday, September 23, 2000 at 10 a.m. at St. George Church/St. John Vianney Parish in Pittsburgh, PA. Burial will take place immediately following at St. George Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.
