Raymond J. Hunker, 89, of Tiffin, died at 9:25 pm Saturday, May 28, 2016, at St. Francis Home.
He was born December 21, 1926, in Tiffin, to Raymond E. and Genevieve (Heil) Hunker. He married Marguerite F. Perdew on April 6, 1947, in Tiffin, and she survives.
Survivors also include a son, Victor R. (Kathleen) Hunker of Tiffin; a daughter, Charlene (Sue) Mizen of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Jennifer T. Hunker and Paula S. Hunker; four great grandchildren, Katrina D. Patrick, Courtney R. Patrick, Lynzee R.F. Hunker, and Amanda B. Cantrell; one great great grandchild, Kylie McCoy; and a sister-in-law, Annabelle Noblit of Findlay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, Oletha M. Hunker, a son, Robert L. Hunker, a granddaughter, Robyn L. Hunker Cantrell, a sister, Mary Rhoades, and a brother, Kenneth E. Hunker.
Mr. Hunker was a graduate of Seneca East High School and served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a retired welder and boilermaker. He was a member of the American Legion Post 169.
There will be no visitation or service. Burial will be at a later date at Arcadia Memory Gardens.
