Ralph V. Brown, Jr., 79, of Tiffin, died Saturday, October 13, 2001. He was born December 13, 1921, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Ralph V. Brown, Sr., and Josephine Lane Brown. On January 14, 1943, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, he married Mary Frances Traunero, and she survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, Ralph L. Brown, Michael A. Brown, and James P. Brown; 2 daughters, Jeanne Crandall and Kristine L. Brown; 2 sisters, Joan Weber and Ann King; and 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Brown, and a sister, Rosemary Matthews. Mr. Brown was a retired life insurance salesman and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Third and Fourth Degrees Knights of Columbus, the Cursillo Movement, and the Senior Citizens. He was a 1939 Columbian High School graduate, and a World War II Veteran of the Army Air Corps. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, with military rites to be conducted. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
