Pauline Ellen (Malone) Thompson

Pauline Ellen Thompson, 89, of Tiffin, died at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.

She was born January 27, 1930, in Sandusky County, to Oscar Ervin and Elizabeth (Robinson) Malone.  She married Donald R. Thompson February 14, 1948, in Newport, Ky., and he died July 23, 2005.

Survivors include five sons, Don (Mary Jane) Thompson, Dave (Carla) Thompson, and Jeff (Lori) Thompson, and Gene (Cheryl) Thompson all of Tiffin, and Steve (Ginger) Thompson of Selah, Wash.; two daughters, Jane Thompson and Rebecca Caudill, both of Tiffin; 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Josephine Hoover and Jacqueline Davidson both of Tiffin.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, James, William, Phillip, and Thomas Malone, and three sisters, Dorothy Dull, Ruth Staib-Ohler, and Juanita Stein.

Mrs. Thompson was a 1948 graduate of Columbian High School and was a retired cafeteria worker for Tiffin City Schools, having worked at Washington Elementary and Columbian High Schools.  She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, the Moose and the Eagles.  She had been involved as a Cub Scout den mother and a Girl Scout leader.  She enjoyed baking, traveling, camping, music, dancing and volunteered at the Sharing Kitchen.  She was an awesome cook, who also enjoyed her time with her children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419)-447-3113.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019, with visitation 1 hour prior at the funeral home. Rev. Marilyn Coney will officiate.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
