Pauline A. Burns, 95, of Tiffin, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born December 10, 1925, in Liberty Township to William J. and Elizabeth (Hartman) Brickner. She married Bernard Burns, September 29, 1945, at St. Andrew’s Church, Liberty Township.
She is survived by a son, LeVerne (Linda) Burns, and a daughter, Sharon (Steven) Zablocki both of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Brad (Michelle) Burns, Brian (Jennifer) Burns, Karen(Steve) Zablocki Edwards and Duane Zablocki ;six great-grandchildren, Ashlee Edwards, Kaylee Edwards, Bryce Burns, Alec Burns, Weston Burns, and Addison Burns.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Edmund Brickner, and three sisters, Vonetta Kelbley, Bernice Droll, and Virginia Kahmen.
Pauline and Bernard founded Burns Electric in 1964 in downtown Tiffin . She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed playing cards, casino trips, traveling with J. B. Tours, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Today, Friday, September 24, 2021, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. The wake service will be 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited 30 minutes at the church prior to the funeral.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
