Paul F. Smith, 82, formerly of Elm Ave, Tiffin, Ohio, died at 1:16 AM on Friday, January 21, 2005 in Mercy Hospital. He was born on February 14, 1922 to Ralph F. and Liona T. (Steinmetz) Smith. On February 19, 1944, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin, he married Glenda D. Luman. She survives in Tiffin.
Also surviving, one daughter: Mrs. Wayne C. (Paula) Breidenbach of Tiffin, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers; Joseph C. Smith of Tiffin, and Victor C. Smith of Republic;
5 sisters: Sr. Ann Regina, OSU, Bryan, Irene Steinhauser of Tiffin, Sr. M. Bonaventure, OSU, Toledo, Mary Alice Bouillion of New Riegel, and Theresa Walliser of Tiffin. He is preceded in death by one grandson; David Breidenbach, one brother, Herman G. Smith, a son-in-law, Wayne C. Breidenbach, and an infant sister.
He had retired as a driver from Meadow Gold Dairy. He served as a St. Joseph BINGO worker for many years and he was also a vendor at the Seneca County Jr. Fair Flea Market in Tiffin.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed collecting pennies.
Rev. James Steinle will officiate the funeral Mass. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Joseph Tuition Fund or for Masses at St. Joseph Catholic Church in care of Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S Monroe Street, Tiffin, OH, 44883, 419-447-3113.
