Paul E. Troxell, age 80, of South SR 231, Tiffin, died at 5 pm Friday, December 7, 2007 at his residence. He was born on February 2, 1927 in Tiffin to the late Joseph and Viola (Shauan) Troxell. On October 16, 1948 in Sandusky, Ohio he married Shar Lynn Arbogast. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Joan (Roger) Moyer of Tiffin and Janet (Dr. Richard) Gramer, of Dahlonega, Georgia; 5 grandchildren, Brittany, Brooke, Bethany, and Breck Bennett, Shannon (Nathan Beaston) Alge; three step grandchildren, Meredith Gramer, Jerry Gramer, and Brooke Gramer, four great grandchildren Jaylin Amanda Kay, Kelan Paul, Donovan and Uriah, and 1 step great grandchild, Kain; two brothers, Robert (Jeanne) Troxell, of Fremont, and Ronnie (Sharon) Troxell, of Tiffin; one sister, Norma (Raymond) Bushkuhl of Tiffin.
He is preceded in death by a son Marc Troxell; a granddaughter, Amanda Alge and two sisters, Rose and Pat.
Mr. Troxell was a 1945 graduate of Columbian High School. He enlisted on his 18th birthday in the United States Coast Guard. He retired in 1991 after 40 years as a distributor for Ballreich’s Potato Chips. He was also the owner of the Village Bean Barrel in the Laird Arcade. He was a member of Old Trinity Episcopal Church. He was a life member of the Eagles and Elk Lodges. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Paul volunteered for the Commission on Aging for many years. He was an avid card player, golfer, pool player, bowler and frogger. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He cherished all the time he spent with his family.
The Funeral service will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113, with Rev. John Reinheimer officiating.
Friends may call from 6-8 pm Tuesday, December 11, and from 1-3 pm Wednesday, December 12 at Traunero Funeral Home.
The United Veterans Council of Seneca County will perform military rites at the funeral home on Wednesday.
There will be a memorial service and entombment in the Columbarium at Old Trinity Episcopal Church at a later date.
Contributions may be made to Old Trinity Episcopal Church, Mercy Hospital or to Columbian
High School, in care of Traunero Funeral Home.
