Paul Burton Matthews, 69, of Tiffin, died at 3:50 am Sunday, October 30, 2016, at St. Francis Home.
He was born April 15, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, to Rolla and Dorothy (Burson) Matthews.
Survivors include two daughters, April Blea of Colorado and Tiffany Matthews of Kansas; six grandchildren, Brooke Anna Rose, Haley Nicole, Nicholas Setree, Heather Marie, Christopher Setree, and Luke Setree; several cousins, nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Paul graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1966 and served in the US Army in Vietnam. He was a railroad engineer in Kansas until his stroke in 1987, when he returned to Tiffin and lived with his parents until they passed away. Paul was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and loved the out-of-doors. He especially enjoyed fishing on his boat in Lake Erie and riding one of his many bikes all over the area. He loved to be with people and was a very frequent customer of GW’s.

There will be no visitation, and private burial will be held in Shade, Ohio at a later date.
