Paul Joseph Krupp, 95, of Tiffin, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Seneca House.
Paul was born March 5, 1925, in Bellevue to Ernest and Rose (Hiler) Krupp. He married Helen Rose Guss in 1947, and together they had nine children. He married Mary Ellen Wertz in 1972, and she died 2011.
Survivors include eight children, Cynthia (Michael) Barlo of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Rick (Anita) Krupp of Sandusky, David (MJ) Krupp of Granville, Stephen (Wanda) Krupp of Newark, James (Ann Kemble) Krupp of Columbus, Theresa (Steve) Brickner of Woodville, Anne (David) Sharp of Sandusky, and John (Jodi) Krupp of Columbus, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a special dear friend, Flo Lucius of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; a son, Gregory; a brother, Richard; and a sister, Martha.
Paul was a graduate of Seneca East High School, served in the Navy during WWII, from 1943 to 1946, and was part of the Normandy invasion at Omaha Beach. He was a retired independent truck driver, flew on the Honor Flight in 2010, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Attica, American Legion, VFW, Eagles and AMVETS.
A Walk-Through Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2020, with a Wake Service at 8 pm, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Visitors are asked to wear masks, social distance as they walk through, pay respects, and exit without lingering.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2020, at the funeral home followed by the Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Szybka will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. The United Veteran’s Council will perform military rites at the gravesite.
