Patricia S. "Patty" Steyer, 61, died 9:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.  She was born Apr. 10, 1953, in Tiffin, to Bernard Joseph and Alice (Goetz) Elchert.

She married Stephen J. Steyer, Sept 1, 1978, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin and he survives.  Other survivors include a son, Brad (Alexa Stults) Steyer of Tiffin; two daughters, Jessica (Travis) Thomas of Findlay, Rebecca "Becky" (Douglas) Link of Tiffin; 8 grandchildren, Andrew, Reid, Brody and Ashlyn Thomas, Gunner Steyer, Kayla, Ethan and Collin Link; four brothers, Joe Elchert of Columbus, Jim  (Linda) Elchert of Cincinnati, John (Martha) Elchert of New Mexico, Jerry (Terri) Elchert of Tiffin; four sisters, Jane (John) Riggs, Eugene, Ore., Peg (Tom) Renninger,  Therese (George) Vogel both of Tiffin, and Wendy (Shawn) Cleveland of Columbus.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Sharon Elchert.

Patty was a 1971 Calvert High School graduate.  She was a bookkeeper at Old Fort Bank.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She volunteered as a seamstress for Community Hospice Care and enjoyed sewing for others and spending time with her grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb 17, 2015, at the funeral home followed by the Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Rev. Joseph Szybka.  The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church.  Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Association in care of the funeral home.
