Patricia M. Welter, 91, of Tiffin, died at 2:56 AM Thursday, September 8, 2016, at her residence.
Patricia was born July 6, 1925, in Tiffin to Carl and Mary (Dannamiller) Ames. She married Arthur E. Welter, August 7, 1948, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. He died November 12, 2010.
Survivors include five sons, Michael (Deborah) Welter of Tiffin, Thomas Welter of Tiffin, James (LuAnn) Welter of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Steve (Karen) Welter of Tiffin and George Welter of Tiffin; nine grandchildren, Daniel, John, Mark, David, Megan, Shelby, Sara, Maria and Hanna; four great-grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew, Caitlyn, and Anna.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, a brother, Paul Ames and a daughter-in-law, Therese Welter.
She was a 1943 graduate of Calvert High School, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was a homemaker and had worked for Dr. Carrigan, and was a bookkeeper for Shultz Motor Sales.
Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, September 12, 2106, at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 1:30 PM Monday, at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:30 AM Tuesday, September 13, 2016, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. The Rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Calvert Foundation, Stein Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
