Opal L. Uhl, age 93 years, formerly of Meadowbrook Place, Tiffin, Ohio died at 2;15 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2005 in St. Francis Home, Tiffin. She was born on September 5, 1911 to Edward G. and Ollie L. (Robinson) Ritz. They are deceased. On July 10, 1937 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, she married Robert M. Uhl. He died on April 3, 1993.
Survivors include, 1 son, Kenneth R. (Jane) Uhl of Ashland, Ohio; 1 daughter, Janet A. Uhl of Indianapolis, Indiana; 4 grandchildren, Kristen (Jeff) Ahle, Kara (Steve) Poignon, Kaitlyn Uhl and Karleigh Uhl; and 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Austin Ahle. She is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Raymond E. Ritz, Russell Ritz; and 1 sister, Mildred Ritz.
Mrs. Uhl was a graduate of Attica High School and she had attended Tiffin University for 1 year. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rosary Altar Society, St. Francis Home Auxiliary, she was a Grey Lady at Mercy Hospital for 25 years, and also a member of the Emblem Club.
Burial will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Francis Home, Calvert High School or to a charity of the Donor’s Choice.
