Norma H. Mayer, age 85, formerly of Melmore Street, Tiffin,Ohio died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2004 at Elmwood At The Shawhan, Tiffin. She was born on October 12, 1918 in Bascom, Ohio to Roman and Luella (Kelbley) Clouse. They do not survive. On June 13, 1942 in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Daniel B. Mayer. He died on June 26, 1991.
Other survivors include 2 sons, James (Rose) Mayer of Tiffin and Robert “Bob” Mayer of Ontonagon, Michigan; 2 daughters, Joann (Don) Reinhart of Frenchtown/Carey and Donna Jean (Maynard, Jr.) Knight of Kalamazoo, Michigan; 13 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded by a brother, Richard A. Clouse; 2 sisters, Helena Clouse and Alice Marie Bollinger, and a grandson, Brian Mayer.
Mrs. Mayer was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella, the Rosary Altar Society, Sewing Club, the Seneca County Board of Elections. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and embroidery.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. James K. Say officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the funeral Mass on Monday.
