Newton Lawson age 73 of Morningside Drive, Tiffin, Ohio died at 1:30 A.M. Friday, July 6, 2001 at his residence. He was born to sherman and Barbry (Harris) Lawson. He married Dorothy Halley on December 27, 1949 in Newport, Kentucky. They were married for 51 years.
Other survivors include 5 sons Stephen and Mark Lawson of Bloomville, Ohio; Jan Lawson of Columbus, Ohio; Robert Lawson of Tiffin, Ohio; and Richard Lawson of Louisville, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren; and 1 sister Mary Perkins of Manchester, Kentucky. He is predeceased by 2 brothers, Paul and estill Lawson and 1 sister, Susan Smith.
Mr. Lawson was a truck driver for Ray mowery trucking. He retired in 1986. He was an avid woodworker, hunter, and fisherman. He received an award for one million accident-free miles driving truck.
