M. Mildred Lautermilch, age 94, of Melmore St., Tiffin, died at 10:25 pm, Saturday, July 12, 2008, at St. Francis Home, Tiffin.
She was born January 24, 1914, in Bettsville, to the late Harry and Margaret (Brickner) Swartzmiller. On June 2, 1943, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, she married John H. Lautermilch, who died in 1986.
Survivors include Mary (Bob) Grotty of Austin, Texas; John C. “Jack” (Debra) Lautermilch of Findlay; Sue (Ray) Meyers of Defiance; Nancy (Frank) Dore of Tiffin; and Christine Magers of Tiffin; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, LaDonna Dickman of Clyde; and sisters-in-law, Helen Swartzmiller of Tiffin and Alma Swartzmiller of Oregon.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Claire, Walter, Richard, and Harold “Jake” Swartzmiller; and a sister, Pauline Baker.
Mrs. Lautermilch was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society. She was a loving caregiver to many in addition to her family.
There will be a Wake Service at 7:30pm on Tuesday at the funeral home, and the Rosary will be recited in Church fifteen minutes prior to Mass.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Home in Tiffin.
