Minnie Ethel Pennington, age 81, of Fostoria Street, Tiffin, Oh. died at 12:45 A.M. Saturday, June 17, 2006 in the Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin. She was born on February 17, 1925 in Waverly Oh. to the late Charles and Lillie (Ferguson) Rapp. On March 22, 1947 in Greenup, Ky. she married Ervin J. Pennington. He died on October 20, 1997.
Survivors include, 1 daughter, JoAnn Hark of Tiffin; 2 grandchidren Jennifer (Michael) Terry; Tracy Burns; 2 great grandchildren, Jacob Terry; Brittany Terry; 1 brother, Dale Rapp of Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Kathryn Purnell of Kenton; Lula Beekman of Mansfield; 2 special nephews, John (Sandy) Pitts; and Ron Jenkins.
She is preceded in death by 5 brothers, John Isom; twins Chester & Lester Rapp; Harry Rapp; Earl Rapp; 2 sisters, Mary Perry; Judith Gaynor; a special niece Vicky Jenkins; and her beloved dog, Mitzy.
Mrs. Pennington had retired in 1990 from Excel Wire Company. She enjoyed flea markets and being around people. She always put others before herself and lived life to the fullest.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. Visitation will be on Monday, June 19, 2006 from 6-8 P.M. and 1 hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens.
