Michael Allen Tobolt, 51, of Tiffin, went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Wednesday evening, April 9, 2008 at 8:30pm at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was born on August 23, 1956 in Tiffin to William and Arlene (Walliser) Tobolt and they survive in Bloomville. On April 22, 1983, Mike married Brenda Reinhard at St. Wendelin Church in Fostoria and she survives.
Other survivors include their four beautiful children, Jana, Todd, Nathan, and Pamela, all at home; three brothers, Steve Tobolt of Port St. Lucie, FL, Chris (Mary) Tobolt of Bloomville, and Randy (Robyn) Tobolt of Bloomville; one sister, Brenda (Mark) Covert of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Martha Tobolt and maternal grandparents, Henry and Erma Walliser.
Mike graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1974 and was employed by National Machinery in Tiffin, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was also an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tiffin.
Mike will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit and generosity to many. He was a loving and giving husband, father, son, and brother. Mike was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed attending sporting events and activities of his children.
A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tiffin with Revs. Timothy Ferris and Joseph Szybka con-celebrating. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will be immediately following in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Traunero Funeral Home 214 S. Monroe Street Tiffin, Ohio 44883 419-447-3113. A Wake service will be conducted at 3:45pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice or to Mike’s children.
