Medreth M. Scheer 90, of Tiffin, died at 10:06 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015, at her residence. She was born June 19, 1925, in Clarksburg, Ohio to Arthur and Zelcia (Rhodes) Jenkins. She married Wilbur Scheer June 22, 1946, in Tiffin. He died Oct. 1967.
Survivors include a son, Tommy (Laura) Scheer of Tiffin; a daughter, Jeanne (David) Dail of East Point, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Scheer Hushour of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Aaron Wray, Ryan Scheer, Cody Scheer; three great grandchildren, Chandler, Callee and Chason Wray; and two sisters, Madeline Carr and Geneva Larick both of Tiffin.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Linda Scheer, a son, Larry Scheer; and two sisters, Cleo Riley and Grace Karns.
Medreth was a 1943 Columbian High School graduate, a homemaker and had worked at General Electric for 24 years. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the Moose and she enjoyed music, traveling and casino trips with her sister.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Jeff Lanzer. Burial will take place immediately following in Greenlawn Cemetery.
