Mary Louise Kaiser, 97, of St. Francis Avenue, formerly of Mohawk St., Tiffin, died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, January, 18, 2011 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
She was born September 21, 1913 in Tiffin to Anthony and Mary E. (Buehler) Myers. She married Arthur W. Kaiser, May 24,1952 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died in July 24, 1971.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Janet Biller, Mary Jane Traxler, and Carolyn Paddock, all of Tiffin; Arlene Lawson of Ravenna; Karen Kime of Willard; Craig Kaiser of Chicago, Ill.; Phillip Kaiser of Phoenix, Ariz.; Phyllis Limestahl of Port Clinton; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Frederick and James Myers.
Mary was a 1931 graduate of Calvert High School. She served in the WAVES "Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service"[ during WWII. Mary had retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and the Mary Help Society. She served as a volunteer at St. Francis and Mercy Tiffin Hospital.
Mary enjoyed traveling and was an extensive traveler around the world.
There will be no visitation.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 in St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Eric Culler officiating. The Rosary will be said 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
