Mary Ann Hersh, 90, of Tiffin, formerly of Fort Seneca, died at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital.
Mary Ann was born March 1, 1930, in Liberty Township, to Marion J. and Evelyn (Hoffert) Rosenberger, Sr. She married Robert L. Hersh May 9, 1949, in Greenup, Kentucky and he died September 25, 1989.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Allen (Sherry) Hersh of Woodlawn, Tennessee, Ernest Hersh of Tiffin; and a sister, Margaret (Howard) Channels of Bellevue; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Michelle) Hersh, Eric Hersh, Lee (Alicia) Hersh, Liane (Matthew) Roth, Heather (Shawn) McCord, Katrina Carte, and Chris (Esther) Browning; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Jennie Lynn Dicken; two brothers, Marion Rosenberger and William Rosenberger, and a sister, Jean Wonder.
Mary Ann was a 1948 graduate of Old Fort High School and retired in 1984 after 16 years as a cook at Old Fort Schools. She was also a courier for the Old Fort Bank, a member of the Fort Seneca Community Church and its Challengers Class, and the Old Fort Fire Department Auxiliary. She was active with the Old Fort Seneca Little League.
A masked walkthrough visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 Noon, Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419)447-3113. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay respects, and exit without lingering. The funeral will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home, with Rev. Marc Quinter officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Fort Seneca Little League.
