Mary Helen Weatherholt, 91, of Tiffin, died 1:25 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 04, 2017, at Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital. She was born Oct. 28, 1926 in New Riegel to Ernest and Helen (Scheeter) Wank. She married S. W. “Johnnie” Weatherholt, June 18, 1949, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel. He died April 12, 1998.
Survivors include a son, Donald Weatherholt of Tiffin; and two daughters, Judy Ann Weatherholt of Fostoria, and Kathleen Sue Crowell of Florida.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Paul Wank, a sister, Ernestine Geis, an infant son, Timothy, and a son-in-law, John Crowell.
Mary was a 1945 Valedictorian of New Riegel High School. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, its Rosary Altar Society, Catholic Ladies of Columbia and St. Mary’s Pinochle Card Flight. She loved gardening, baking and playing pinochle. She was a loving wife and mother.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113. A wake service will be at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at the funeral home followed by the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Gary Walters will officiate. The rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
